Group 25 Actuators

For over 40 years Beck Group 25 actuators have provided reliable service in a variety of industrial applications. In recent years, many Group 25 applications have been retrofitted with more modern Group 11 actuator replacements. Due to the age of the Group 25 design and its tooling, as well as the availability of more modern Beck replacements, the Group 25 line will become obsolete as of 10/31/08. However, parts support will continue after that date as stock levels permit.

Below is information that serves as an example of a common Group 25 replacement. The model 25-102 is easily replaced with an 11-156 Beck drive as described. For more information on this or other Group 25 replacements, please contact the factory at 215-968-4600.

DCM-2 (Digital Control Module)

The DCM-2 is Beck’s second generation Digital Control Module. As with the original DCM, it provides onboard, precision, modulating control of Beck drives. It is completely interchangeable with the original, but is based on a faster, more powerful microprocessor. As such, the DCM-2 maintains all the original’s features while adding a variety of new features and functions.
DCM-2

The DCM-2 is installed in the following control option 9 actuator Groups: Group 11 Rotary, Group 42 Long-Stroke Linear, Group 11 Quarter-Turn Rotary, Group 14 Linear Globe Valve, and Group 29 Linear Globe Valve.
