Determining how long to cut your pipe

Once your total linkage length is determined from your Beck link-assist report, you can determine how long to cut your pipe length. Reference the table below to find your drive model and associated linkage kit. Determine the pipe length required by subtracting “Length of two linkage ends” for your specific pipe linkage kit from the total linkage length. The pipe length is to be cut and threaded in the field. The final linkage assembly permits +/- 1.5″ adjustment in the field.

Application Torque Required

The actuator torque must be greater than the total torque required by the driven load and the linkage weight. For smaller drives the weight may be a significant factor relative to the drive torque. Refer to the table above for your linkage kit weight. Also for pipe linkage kits, add the schedule 40 pipe weight as shown below. For schedule 80, please consult the factory.
