Quality Engineer- Electrical

Job Description

• Coordinate with the design team during new product development to plan inspection processes and resolve all potential inspection issues.
• Procure and integrate the equipment necessary to test and analyze electronic assemblies to ensure they meet all specifications.
• Develop custom applications to control inspection processes.
• Monitor the performance of all electrical test systems to ensure their integrity; troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Establish and maintain robust documentation for controlling the quality of new and existing products.
• Lead or support FMEA projects.
• Assist manufacturing engineering with developing preventive action plans in response to electronic product nonconformities.
• Assist suppliers with resolving electronic product quality concerns.
• Provide guidance in the form of verbal instructions, sketches, or schematics to electronic technicians to facilitate the rework of production assemblies, support existing test equipment, and build / implement new test equipment.

Experience Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a production manufacturing environment.
• Programming experience in LabVIEW, Visual Basic and/or Visual Studio.net.
• Must have experience developing inspection processes for electronic products.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess excellent attention and respect for detail.
• Must have proven professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, and the desire / ability to work in a team environment.
• Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must promote a positive, professional atmosphere and support activities that enhance the welfare and morale of Beck employees.
• Must promote and ensure a safe working environment by demonstrating consistent adherence to Beck safety policies.

Educational Requirements

• B.S. Electrical Engineering or B.S. Electrical Engineering Technology

Physical Requirements

• Office environment requiring ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone.
• Use keyboard and read from computer, screen and reports.
• Work environment includes regular exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective   equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection.
