Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant in our Accounting & Finance department, is a crucial role supporting our overall operations. This professional position provides essential administrative and operational support to the finance and HR department, ensuring the smooth execution of daily financial processes. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
I. Accounts Receivable (AR) Management and Collections (Primary Focus)
- Proactively manage the Accounts Receivable aging report to identify and follow up on delinquent accounts via phone, email, and formal correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activity, documenting contact attempts, commitments to pay, and status updates in the ERP system.
- Process and apply daily cash receipts, wire transfers, and electronic payments accurately and timely.

Primary Responsibilities:
Inspect Returned Equipment:
- Evaluate actuator mechanical subassemblies by visually checking for signs of excessive wear or other mechanical issues.
- Interpret schematics to trouble shoot electrical deficiencies using multimeters, hipot testers, and custom functional test equipment.
Document and Process Deficiencies:
- Electronically record all identified issues to support quoting and subsequent repair job creation.
Repair and Refurbishment:
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and refurbish actuators to restore them to like-new condition.
- Validate completed repairs using final line test equipment to ensure they operate per original specifications.
On-Site Commissioning and Service:
- Travel to customers’ facilities to commission new equipment by verifying the mechanical installation is correct and checking the customers’ power and signal connections within the actuators.
- Operate installed actuators to confirm connected equipment operates without issue.
- Conduct general service work, including troubleshooting, replacement of motors, control assemblies, transformers, electronic chassis, and digital control modules.
On-Site Reporting and Compliance:
- Document all work performed on-site, including daily travel time and service hours.
- Attend customer required safety training sessions, either online or in person, prior to site visits.

Role Summary:
Harold Beck & Sons is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to manage the complete procurement process for all materials and services required to manufacture our precision electric actuators. This position is responsible for sourcing and obtaining quotations for raw metals, castings, machined components, electrical and mechanical parts, tooling, shop supplies, and outsourced services such as heat treating, plating, and electromechanical assembly. The Senior Buyer negotiates pricing and terms, issues and expedites purchase orders, secures order acknowledgments, arranges inbound freight, and proactively communicates order status, changes, quality issues, and delivery schedules with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Request quotations for a wide array of materials including metal stock, castings, electrical and mechanical components, tooling; supplies for shops, shipping, office, and maintenance; and services including machining, electromechanical assembly, heat treating, plating and anodizing. Review quotations to ensure supplier offers exactly match Beck requirements.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure requirements are met in an optimal manner.
- Enter and place purchase orders.

Product Strategy & Roadmap:
- Define and execute product strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.

You’ll independently set up, prove-out, and run CNC lathes (milling a big plus), grinders, and gear shapers; read complex GD&T prints; inspect with mics, bore gages, and CMM; troubleshoot tough setups; optimize cycles with Lean thinking; deburr to spec; mentor teammates; and keep documentation bulletproof—all to ensure our actuators never miss a beat in power plants, refineries, and the world’s most demanding processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely and proficiently setup, prove-out, program, and operate CNC lathes, and/or milling machines, grinders, and gear shapers.
- Ensure accuracy, revision level and validity of production documentation and inspection tools prior to starting a job.
- Perform part inspections as necessary to ensure quality of work and continually monitor parts production to ensure adherence to blueprint tolerances using appropriate inspection tools and criteria.
- Responsible for deburring all parts after machining operation to meet required specifications.
- Maintain correct daily labor time recording and accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex machining problems and recommend process and tooling improvements.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion and perform basic preventative maintenance activities as required.
- Perform other general shop duties or assist other departments as business demands require.
- Operate multiple pieces of equipment concurrently when cycle time permits.
- Provide in-depth technical training and mentor shop personnel in the proper setup and operation of qualified CNC equipment.

Requirements:
Professional and Personal Requirements:
- 7 to 10 years of experience of setting up, proving out, and operating CNC turning, and/or milling, grinding, and gear shaping equipment, including making program edits, tool offsets, and compensations.
- Must be able to work independently from blueprints, sketches, oral, or written instructions without supervision or technical guidance.
- Must have the skills, ability, and desire to serve as a mentor for shop personnel as needed.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of typical shop inspection equipment such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, bore gages, CMM’s, and be proficient with all inspection methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), metal cutting principles, tooling, and thread nomenclature is required.
- Must be proficient in Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Mechanical Drafting and Computer skills in CAD and Solid Works are beneficial.
- Possess a working knowledge and the ability to apply the concepts of Lean Manufacturing to achieve continuous production improvements.
- Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic CI roadmap aligned with business goals by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing process improvement opportunities.
